You can choose how Connect Pro changes the pitch and duration of playback of samples, by selecting the Time/Pitch mode, located in the Sample module under the Engine tab.

Here is an explanation of the different options available…

Resampling

• Resampling determines the rate at which audio is sampled, which means pitch and duration are inherently interlinked.
• When played at lower pitches, samples become longer, when played at high pitches they become shorter.
• To change the pitch/duration of a sample, turn the Pitch dial up or down, which can be found in the Sample module, under the Engine tab
• In Synth Mode, the pitch/duration is also relative to the Root Key and the MIDI note being played

HQ & HQ+

HQ and HQ+ modes use a high quality, but relatively CPU expensive time stretching algorithm developed by Zplane.

These modes give you independent control over the pitch of a sample, so you can change the pitch without affecting the speed and vice versa.
